eMaintenance
21st century saw the extensive application of information and communication technology (ICT) with emergence of eMaintenance exploitation. eMaintenance enabled by the hardware and software with wireless networks are used for taking care of the plants and machinery throughout their entire life cycle. Today eMaintenance is being exploited in most of the industrial domains, e.g. transport, energy, manufacturing and process. One of the main objectives with eMaintenance is to align the maintenance process with the business and operational processes to achieve organizational objectives. eMaintenance facilitates and supports different interconnected levels in an organization by provision of an effective and efficient infrastructure for decision-making. After successful conduct of first two international workshop and Congress on eMaintenance in Luleå during 2010 and 2012, the third International workshop and Congress is being organized during 17-18 June 2014, in Luleå University of Technology. The objective of this congress is to provide a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences amongst the academia and industry participants, besides organizing the workshops with industry related themes.
